At 3:49 p.m., officers responded to the Walmart at 40 International Dr. S, Mount Olive police said. A man had collected merchandise and left without paying, police said. The man then reentered the store and attempted to leave with additional items before being stopped by Loss Prevention personnel, police said.
The man's items totaled $309.26, police said. The man was charged with shoplifting and was released pending a court hearing, police said.
